John Mariano

John Mariano is a TV and film actor best known for his voice roles on animated children's programs such as the Steven Spielberg-produced 1990s cult phenomenon "Animaniacs" and its equally popular spinoff series "Pinky and the Brain." Mariano began his career playing typical Italian-American character roles on 1980s television dramas including the courtroom favorite "Matlock" and the critically-acclaimed Vietnam War chronicle "China Beach." After a stint as a sketch player with the influential Los Angeles-based improv troupe The Groundlings, Mariano transitioned to comic roles, most notably a recurring part as a waiter on the Lea Thompson sitcom "Caroline in the City." Known for his celebrity impersonations, Mariano became a regular voice talent on the award-winning animated series "Animaniacs," mimicking such famous stars as Robert De Niro and Danny DeVito, most notably in the recurring segment "The Goodfeathers," about a trio of streetwise Manhattan pigeons. Still an in-demand character actor, Mariano continued to appear in numerous TV shows in the 2000s while maintaining a successful voice acting career on various animated shows and video games.
