John Sumner

John Sumner was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He also was featured in the miniseries "Stephen King's The Tommyknockers" (1992-93). Sumner launched his entertainment career by acting in films like "Alex" (1993) with Lauren Jackson. He additionally landed roles in the TV movies "Hercules and the Lost Kingdom" (1993-94) and "Every Woman's Dream" (CBS, 1996-97). He also starred in the TV movies "Ready to Run" (1999-2000), "Atomic Twister" (TBS, 2001-02) and "Dominick Dunne Presents: Murder in Greenwich" (USA, 2002-03). He also appeared in "You Wish!" (Disney, 2002-03). He also had roles in film during these years, including roles in "The Frighteners" (1996) with Michael J. Fox and the adventure for the whole family "The Other Side of Heaven" (2001) with Christopher Gorham. Sumner took on film roles in more recent years, appearing in "Whale Rider" (2003) with Keisha Castle-Hughes, the Naomi Watts box office smash action movie "King Kong" (2005) and the Dougray Scott foreign "Perfect Creature" (2006). He also had a part in the TV miniseries "The Amazing Mrs. Pritchard" (2007-08). Most recently, Sumner acted in the Sharlto Copley hit sci-fi motion picture "District 9" (2009).
