Karin Baal

Karin Baal was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Baal's earliest roles were in film, including "Halbstarken" (1958), the Nadja Tiller drama "Rosemary" (1960) and "Ganovenehre" (1966). She also appeared in the adventure "Hannibal Brooks" (1969) with Oliver Reed, "The Secret of the Green Pins" (1972) and "Gefundenes Fressen" (1976). She kept working in film throughout the seventies and the eighties, starring in the thriller "Die Jaeger" (1979) with Barbara Sukowa, "Berlin Alexanderplatz" (1980) with Hanna Schygulla and the drama "Desperado City" (1981) with Siemen Ruehaak. She also appeared in "Der Mann auf der Mauer" (1982). During the latter part of her career, she continued to act in "Rosa Luxemburg" (1987), the drama "Welcome to Germany" (1988) with Tony Curtis and the drama "Lili Marleen" (1989) with Hanna Schygulla. She also appeared in "Lola" (1989) and the Iris Berben dramatic comedy "Cosima's Lexikon" (1992). Baal most recently acted in the Ludwig Trepte crime drama "Seven Days Sunday" (2009).
