Maya DiMeo is a mum determined to make a fresh start in a new community with her family including son J.J, who lives with cerebral palsy. She will do whatever it takes to create the happiest, safest environment regardless of who stands in her way.

Maya interferes with the homecoming bonfire festivities making JJ spectacularly unpopular with his fellow students.
