Michael is overly confident about his team's chances in a basketball game between the office staff and the warehouse workers.

Michael's ploy to buy some work time by prompting a cellblock lockdown leads to a full-scale riot, Nick convinces Veronica that he really does want to help her, and Kellerman hires an inmate to kill Lincoln.

The escapees and Dr Tancredi are shocked when they learn the identity of Michael's visitor, who brings with her a very important piece of the escape plan.

Tensions mount after Lincoln warns Michael that someone in the group will have to remain behind, Michael makes progress in reaching the infirmary, and Abruzzi threatens to kill T-Bag if he doesn't drop out of the group.

With Lincoln's execution now just a day away, Michael looks for a way to get him out of solitary confinement in time for an escape. Meanwhile, Veronica comes out of hiding and gains an ally.

The thwarted escapees return to their cells undetected, but a CO becomes suspicious about a broken pipe. Veronica and Nick ask a judge to postpone Lincoln's execution, and Sara asks her father, Governor Tancredi, to review Lincoln's case.
