A law student promises to get Monk reinstated to the police force in exchange for his help in finding the kidnappers of her beloved grandmother.

While investigating a lead to his wife's death, Monk is struck over the head, gets a case of amnesia and wakes up in a small town in Wyoming where he finds he has a new wife.

Stottlemeyer asks Monk to be the best man for his upcoming wedding (and regrets having him plan the bachelor party) but his bride is having second thoughts after someone repeatedly attempts to sabotage the ceremony.
