This season, contestants compete in teams in the ultimate David vs Goliath battle. In the first challenge, they must cook a dish which recognises their strengths.

The contestants have a good old-fashioned lucky dip, where each row of cloches has a different theme - fruit & vegetables, herbs & spices, pantry items, and a curve cloche.

The first elimination of the competition sees contestants in a two round challenge, where the maker of the best jaffle in round one is safe, but the maker of the least impressive dish that changed their life in round two will be sent home.

The contestants take on a creative service challenge, and the judges expect three-course masterpieces as they take inspiration from a virtual forest at a digital art gallery in Melbourne.

Contestants must create a dish using ingredients from Marco Pierre White's array of common pantry items. The least impressive dish to emerge will see its creator eliminated from the competition.

It's the first mystery box of the season, with pork chops, Granny Smith apples, flat leaf parsley, tomatoes, dark chocolate, ciabatta bread, lemon and cabbage.
