Miles Heizer

Miles Heizer was an American actor who was best known for his role as Drew Holt on NBC's "Parenthood" (2010-15). Born and raised in Greenville, Kentucky, Heizer moved with his family to Los Angeles while he was still a young boy. A natural performer, his parents soon started sending him out on film and TV auditions. He landed his first role at the age of 10 on an episode of "CSI: Miami" (CBS, 2001-2012), and quickly followed that up with guest spots on "Ghost Whisperer" (CBS, 2005-2010) and "Shark" (CBS, 2006-08). He nabbed his first film role in 2007's "Rails & Ties," which also starred Kevin Bacon and Marcia Gay Harden. Heizer's performance in the film was critically acclaimed, and before long casting agents began to take notice. That same year Heizer nabbed a recurring role on NBC's long-running medical drama, "ER" (1994-2009), appearing as Joshua Lipnicki in five episodes. Although his run on "ER" was brief, Heizer continued landing bit parts in movies and TV shows before landing his breakout in 2010 on NBC's family drama, "Parenthood." Heizer appeared as Drew Holt in every episode of the show, thus adding further luster to his already growing status. His next big film role came in 2014 when he appeared in the William H. Macy-directed musical drama, "Rudderless." The film premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, and received mostly positive reviews. In 2015 Heizer appeared in "The Stanford Experiment," which premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.
