Nick Marini

Actor Nick Marini made his debut in the coming-of-age drama "Summer of 8" (2016), but earned a more substantial showcase on television through guest and starring roles on series like "Chicago Med" (NBC, 2015-) and "Hit the Road" (Audience Network, 2017). Born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and raised in Mt. Airy, Marini was raised in a theatrical family: his mother was actress Susan Wilder, while his father, Ken Marini, directed for the stage. Despite this background, his initial interest was in diplomacy, but by his sophomore year of high school, Marini knew that his future lay in acting. He appeared in a short, "Trigger" (2014), and worked as a model while studying cinema at the University of Pennsylvania; upon graduation in 2014, Marini headed west and after only a single audition, landed a lead role in the independent feature "Summer of 8" (2016). His sensitive turn as a high schooler spending a final day with friends before heading to college preceded a 10-episode arc on "Chicago Med" as a troubled sex worker in the show's second season. The following year, Marini was cast as the drug-addled, bass-playing member of a dysfunctional family band in "Hit the Road," a sitcom starring Jason Alexander.
