Paul Trijbits

The immediate anomaly on film producer Paul Trijbits' resume is the frequency with which film credits appear. Usually, people who crank out multiple producing credits each and every year are those working in the Hollywood mainstream. But Trijbits works mainly in the independent, international co-production realm--on projects like the 2006 drama "The Wind That Shakes the Barley," one of the quietest of all Golden Palm winners at the Cannes Film Festival. He also had a hand in the '10 Stephen Frears drama "Tamara Drewe," well-received at the Toronto International Film Festival. But that's just the tip of a very eclectic iceberg. Among Trijbits many other producing credits are the searing '02 drama "The Magdalene Sisters," written and directed by Scottish actor Peter Mullan, and the award-winning '03 docudrama "Touching the Void," about a fateful mountain climbing expedition to the Andes. The movie won at both the BAFTA Awards and the British Independent Film Awards.
