Peter Berling

Peter Berling was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Berling began his acting career with roles in such films as the Ulli Lommell drama "Love Is Colder Than Death" (1969), "Die Niklashauser Fahrt" (1970) and "Der Lieberschuler" (1975) with Sylvia Kristel. He also appeared in the comedy "Black and White in Color" (1977) with Jean Carmet. He continued to work steadily in film throughout the eighties, appearing in "Fitzcarraldo" (1982) with Klaus Kinski, the Ugo Tognazzi period drama "The Windbreaker" (1983) and the western adventure "Tex and the Lord of the Deep" (1985) with Giuliano Gemma. He also appeared in "The Name of the Rose" (1986). During the latter half of his career, he tackled roles in the drama "Veronika Voss" (1989) with Rosel Zech, "The Marriage of Maria Braun" (1989) with Hanna Schygulla and the Jessica Forde comedy "Visioni Privati" (1990). He also appeared in the drama "Voyager" (1992) with Sam Shepard and the Helge Schneider comedy "Texas: Doc Snyder halt die Welt in Atem" (1993). Most recently, Berling acted in the dramatic adventure "Cobra Verde" (2007) with Klaus Kinski.
