Norm is painting Lilith and Frasier's living room, but unfortunately, he manages to dislocate a vertebra in the process. The Cranes move him to the sofa, and he invites some friends to help. When they arrive, the situation seems to escalate.

Caught up in one of the many trivia games at Cheer, Kevin McHale of the Boston Celtics begins obsessing over the number of bolts on the floor of the Boston Garden. McHale goes into a ruinous slump, compelling the Cheers gang to come to the rescue.

Carla's spiritual mentor, flamboyant parapsychic Madame Lazora returns to town. The bad news is that Lazora wants to retire from the business. The worse news is that she wants Carla to be her successor.

Sam's friends throw a bachelor party complete with the usual girl in a cake. Sam admits that it will be difficult for him to be with only one woman for the rest of his life. That's when Diane emerges from the cake.

Will selects Carlton as his partner for a television game show.
