After being shot by an unseen assailant, a wounded Cooper has a vision of a giant who tells him three clues to help with the investigation. In the morning, Albert Rosenfield arrives back in town to investigate the shooting.

Still investigating Cooper's shooting, Albert Rosenfield tells Cooper that his former partner and mentor, Windom Earle, has escaped from an insane asylum and may come after him. Meanwhile, Donna meets the mysterious Mrs Tremond.

Audrey gets trapped in a dangerous situation. Meanwhile, there's a breakthrough in the case when Dr Jacoby undergoes hypnotherapy.

Cooper tracks Earle to the Black Lodge as season two of the darkly surreal drama concludes.
