Ryan McPartlin

As Dr. Devon Woodcomb on TV's "Chuck," Ryan McPartlin went from a one-off performer to a beloved staple of the comedy series. Better known as "Captain Awesome," his character got his nickname from his predictable response in any given situation: "Awesome." Born in Chicago, McPartlin played football for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and modeled for Abercrombie and Fitch before landing his first acting roles. In 1999, Woodcomb made his first on-screen appearance in an episode of "The Nanny." He later appeared in small roles on TV--including a part as Hank Bennett on the soap "Passions"--before being cast in "Living with Fran" as young stud Riley Martin, the live-in boyfriend of the much older Fran Reeves (Fran Drescher). Debuting in 2005, the show ran for two seasons before being cancelled. In 2010, McPartlin took a voice-over role as the lead character in the computer-animated film "LEGO: The Adventures of Clutch Powers."
