Dallas businessman Sean Lowe, who was spurned by Emily Maynard in The Bachelorette, seeks a second chance at love. In the first episode, Sean chats with fellow Bachelorette contestant Arie before arriving at the mansion to meet 26 female contenders at the first cocktail party. After the first rose ceremony, seven of the women are sent home.

Sean takes Sarah on an adrenaline-packed date involving a helicopter ride and a 360-foot drop. Later, an art gallery prank allows Sean to test Desiree's sense of humour during their date. The fun and flirty group date sees the women taking part in a sexy photo shoot as they compete to appear on the cover of a romance novel.

Arie gets advice from Sean and Catherine Lowe before meeting with the 29 bachelorettes, eight of whom he must send home during the first rose ceremony.

In the premiere, Nick prepares for the night of his life as the 30 beautiful bachelorettes, all clamouring to meet him, begin to arrive. Sarah, a bubbly school teacher, runs up the driveway in sneakers to make the point that Nick is not a runner-up in her eyes or heart. Jasmine G is accompanied by the one-and-only Neil Lane, so that she can show Nick what engagement ring she prefers should he choose her that final day.

Sean and Lesley attempt a romantic world record. A volleyball game brings out the women's true colours. After a day out at a theme park, Sean surprises AshLee with a performance by Eli Young Band. One of the girls has an accident.
