One participant comes face-to-face with one of Mongolia's deadliest predators, while another fights to overcome a debilitating health issue.

Ten survivalists from previous seasons return for redemption and another chance to win the cash prize. But this time, they face the dangers of Northern Mongolia.

Participants explore new and risky food sources in Mongolia. As the survivalists begin to settle into their new remote surroundings, they realise they're not the only predators on the prowl.

Family members are dropped off miles apart and must navigate the unforgiving terrain of Northern Vancouver Island to find each other; to win the $500,000 prize, the competitors must build their own shelters and forage for their own food.

The three remaining teams scramble for a long-term advantage; team members run themselves ragged with an elaborate shelter build; a team hazards the freezing waters of the Pacific on their own small craft.

On Vancouver Island, a seriously injured participant weighs the risks of seeking medical help and sacrificing his shot at $500,000; danger awaits all participants as predators continue to stalk the island's newest inhabitants.
