Michael plans to celebrate his 15th anniversary at Dunder Mifflin with a party, but the new Vice President interferes. Jim's most recent prank on Dwight backfires.

Michael starts an audiotape murder-mystery game to distract staff from rumours of Dunder Mifflin filing for bankruptcy. Andy uses the game's Southern flavour as cover to ask out Erin, but is unsure if she thinks it's for real.

Andy's Twelve Days of Christmas-themed Secret Santa gifts to Erin do more harm than good, and Dwight and Jim hope to infuse the staff with holiday spirit, but Jim's decision to let Phyllis play Santa at the Dunder Mifflin Christmas party ires Michael. Elsewhere, a new warehouse worker catches Oscar's eye.

A decade-old promise to pay college tuition for a bunch of children comes back to haunt Michael, and with rumours of Dunder Mifflin going under, Jim hopes an Employee of the Month award will raise spirits.
