The birth of Moses would mark the beginning of God's plan to free his people from 400 years of Egyptian slavery. The Hebrew people became so numerous in Egypt that Pharaoh began to fear them. He believed if an enemy attacked, the Hebrews might ally themselves with that enemy and conquer Egypt.

The crucifixion happens after Jesus' arrest at Gethsemane and trial before Pontius Pilate. Christians believe that Jesus was God in human form. They believe that after he died on the Cross on Friday, he went down to Hell to free the souls of the people who had died before Jesus' coming.

Jonathan and Saul are killed in battle, and David is anointed king over Judah. In the north, Saul's son Ish-Bosheth is anointed king of Israel, and war ensues until Ish-Bosheth is murdered. With the death of Saul's son, the elders of Israel come to Hebron and David is anointed king over all of Israel.

Jesus came to John the Baptist while he was baptizing people in the River Jordan. As soon as Jesus was baptised, he came up out of the water. Heaven was opened and he saw the spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. Then a voice said from heaven, "This is my own dear son with whom I am pleased."

Jesus went along the shores of Lake Galilee. Seeing Andrew and Simon (Peter) he called them to discipleship. Jesus said he would teach them how to catch people, meaning that he would show them how to bring people back to God. Tax collectors were outcasts due to their sinful ways, yet Jesus calls one to be a disciple.

When Jesus rebukes the wind and the waves and they stop, Jesus is showing his divine control over nature. And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Peace! Be still!" And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. We see him needing rest as any person would and His divinity as he calms the storm.
