Black Sands

Detective Inspector Anita returns to her hometown after over a decade away. However, she quickly finds herself called back to police duty when a body is discovered on the shore by Glerársandar.

The appearance of an injured girl changes the investigation into the tourist death, but a lack of ambition and mediocre work ethics from the police force causes complications in the search.

Anita makes a serious error whilst interrogating the girl, and the team must try to get the case back on track. Meanwhile, new light is shined on the case when the widower arrives in Iceland.

Gusti interviews Lena and discovers how his colleagues have made a botch of things. Frida feels pressure. Gusti's imminent arrival to town encourages Anita to search for help in a familiar place.

Salomon visits Helga and Elin, while Anita has struggles with Gústi - who has extended his stay. Old cases lead to new information, while a soiree with a loved one takes an unexpected turn.

Another body is found which is linked to one of the cases Frida and Anita are investigating. The relationship between Salamon and Anita leads to an unexpected opportunity for the team.
