Bless This House

Sid James is a family man and he doesn't find it easy. The series is based on how Sid copes with his two teenage childredn growing up in a world who's values and attitudes he doesn't really understand.

It wasn't that Sid was actually eavesdropping, and it wasn't that what he heard displeased him, in fact, once he had got used to the idea it pleased him very much. The trouble was that he only heard half the conversation.

Father's Day is coming up and Jean is baking a cake when the doorbell rings. It's Mike with two policemen! Mike's in trouble, this is the third demonstration this year. Mike quickly changes the subject to Sid's Father's Day gift. The phone rings, it's Dr McClaren, who tells Jean Sid's surprise Father's Day gift has arrived. She tells him she'll be around later to see it.

Sid gets (or loses) more than he bargained for when he tells Mike to 'get a job' and 'spread his wings'. Mike does spread his wings and when everyone else has done their bit, Sid is left with the budie. Episode 3 currently unavailable due to clearance issues.

In which Sid involves everyone, including his boss who asked Sid to do him a favour.
