Britain's Bloody Crown

Dan Jones presents this docudrama based on his writings in `The Hollow Crown'. The book and series focus on the Wars of the Roses of the 15th century. Over four episodes, Jones discusses the power struggles in England's history during this time, when great houses went to war over the throne. Subjects covered include the marriage of Henry V in 1420, the death of Margaret Plantagenet in 1541, the beginnings of the printing press and the Renaissance. Drama reconstructions replay the events, depicting the heroes and villains of the British civil wars.
