Julie Walters is setting off to travel the length and breadth of the UK on Britain's dramatic coastal railway to discover how much of its seaside-dwelling nation still depends on the rails.

The West Highlands
Julie begins her journey by boarding the famous Jacobite steam train for a trip along Scotland's West Highland Railway, most famous for being The Hogwarts Express in Harry Potter movies.

The East Coast Line
Julie heads from Newcastle to Edinburgh, via the beautiful coastal town of Alnmouth and a date with a lobster breeder and the biggest gannet colony on Earth.

Devon and Cornwall
Julie travels on Isambard Kingdom Brunel's famous Great Western Railway heading from London down to Cornwall. Ahead for her lie sailors, smugglers, a rock and roller and a bout of seasickness!
EPISODE 4
North Wales
Starting in Aberystwyth, Julie heads first to Tywyn - famous for its heritage steam railway and the inspiration behind Thomas the Tank Engine. She's Liverpool bound, on the way experiencing the oldest train factory in the world and the longest zip-wire in Europe.
