Derren Brown: Mind Control

Derren goes to the Tate Gallery with ten students to recreate a recent psychic experiment, which leads to quite devastating results. He then takes three medical students to the Old Operating Theatre and attempts to cause them to feel and avoid pain. Plus, he turns the tables on two creatives from an advertising agency and influences them subliminally.

At St Pancras Station, Derren attempts to illustrate how it is possible to improve a commuter's memory of a shocking incident. Later, he shocks a group of models by knowing their favourite chat-up lines.

Derren Brown attempts to influence a visitor trapped alone in an old Victorian cell at the House of Detention, tries to win with a losing ticket at Walthamstow Dog Track and, in Carnaby Street, illustrates how it is possible to `read' a person from the clues they reveal unconsciously. He also sets out to beat the lie detector, and spot the lies of a used car salesman.

Derren visits the fairground at Margate and attempts an experiment with a couple on a spinning waltzer ride. Plus, he gives the ghost train operator a taste of his own medicine, and is challenged by an ex-SAS soldier in a dangerous lie detection assault course.

Derren Brown has been banned from most casinos but here he manages to infiltrate a London casino and shows off his card skills to a group of casino croupiers.

Derren reveals how he can pick up on signals and unconscious clues that people give away and use them to influence their train of thought
