Preschoolers get to hop on board the `Dinosaur Train' to learn about natural science, natural history and palaeontology. Each half-hour episode of this series, produced in CGI-animated format by the Jim Henson Company, features Buddy, a preschool-aged Tyrannosaurus Rex, and his adoptive Pteranodon family travelling on a special train to meet all kinds of dinosaurs and explore the world inhabited by these amazing creatures. Also included are live-action segments hosted by paleontologist Scott Sampson.

Valley of the Stygimolochs / Tiny Loves Fish

Buddy wonders if he'll grow horns when he gets older, so Mrs Pteranodon takes him to visit some dinosaurs called Stygimolochs, who have impressive horns. Mr Pteranodon shows the kids all about fishing.
EPISODE 2

The Call of the Wild Corythosaurus / Triceratops for Lunch

The family surprises mum for her birthday in 'The Call of the Wild Corythosaurus', and then in 'Triceratops for Lunch', we discover that the Triceratops are all plant-eaters.
EPISODE 3

Beating the Heat / Flowers for Mom

Buddy and Tiny discover how Morris Stegosaurus keeps cool in 'Beating the Heat', and in 'Flowers for Mum', the kids go to the big pond to look for flowers to give to mum on her special Mother's Day.
EPISODE 4

I'm A T. Rex! / Ned the Quadruped

Buddy learns something about himself when he meets Delores Tyrannosaurus in 'I'm a T. Rex!', and in 'Ned the Quadruped', Buddy and Tiny tour the Dinosaur Train and earn their junior conductor hats.

One Smart Dinosaur / Petey the Peteinosaurus

We meet a Troodon with a great memory in 'One Clever Dinosaur', and then in 'Petey the Peteinosaurus', Buddy and Tiny meet a flying lizard with some similar features to their own.
EPISODE 6

Fast Friends / T. Rex Teeth

We meet Oren and Ollie Ornithomimus, some of the fastest dinosaurs ever, in 'Fast Friends', and then in 'T. Rex Teeth', Buddy loses a tooth, and discovers all about Tyrannosaurus teeth.
