Can two Average Joes follow in the footsteps of their pioneering heroes and attempt the hardest jobs in history in order to find out if we as modern humans have gone too soft.
EPISODE 1
Lumberjacks
Brett and Cliff travel north to the Yukon to try their hand at logging as the lumberjacks once did during the turn of the century. Their aim is to find suitable number trees that they will cut down, transport over land to the river, and then float the logs to their final destination on the main river bank.
EPISODE 2
Rivermen/Prospectors
During the gold rush prospectors, the continent over flocked to the Klondike to try their hand at finding their fortune. Brett and Cliff will try to do the same. The boys must build a rudimentary riverboat in order to float to the prime gold panning locations. With only a small 24hr window to build their boat this challenge might be a little too ambitious for the boys.
EPISODE 4
Bootleggers
During prohibition, the movement of illegal alcohol was massive business and men would regularly risk their lives to transport the goods, hopeful that they would receive a payday equivalent to an average yearly wage! The danger however was very real, and with the great lakes as the backdrop for this endeavour many men were lost to the inky depths. Brett and Cliff try their hands at bootlegging.
EPISODE 6
Castaways
If you were a sailor during the time of discovery you have a 1 in 4 chance of finding yourself a castaway on some remote stretch of beach. Brett and Cliff aim to put themselves through the experience of losing one's ship and needing to be rescued. The tropical Caribbean however is not a place to take lightly.
