In Madagascar's remote Berenty Reserve, the dry season is taking its toll on the resident ring-tailed lemurs. With food becoming harder to find, tensions are rising between opposing gang leaders Crystal and Kati.

The arrival of the first rains brings relief for the ring-tailed lemur gangs in the Berenty Reserve of Madagascar, as food in the forest is plentiful while opposing leaders Crystal and Kati lead their troops to feast on the bounty.

The gangs of Lemur Island have fought hard to keep their troops healthy and their territories intact. As babies grow, the hierarchy starts to change.

In the Berenty Reserve, the troops rushed to make use of the short food bounty that followed early rains, but the pressure to find food grows when the dry heat returns and the pups get larger.
