A lack of water sends Max and Glenn out into the wilderness to hunt sapphires. Anthony and Jodie take a massive wrong turn underground, and the Richardsons' big machines bring on big problems.
Todd and Brianna must navigate parenthood and sapphire hunting, Old Timers Ray and Paul might be digging in the wrong spot, and Max and Glenn bring in the drillers, but they risk striking water.
The Richardsons hunt for fresh sapphire grounds, and hope their big gamble will pay off. Lost underground, the Mifsuds have a radical solution, and Ray and Paul enter a danger zone.
The Mifsuds are hoping that their sons will be able to make a difference, but it may cost them a sapphire. Meanwhile, Ray and Paul come unstuck with a 40-tonne drill.
Storms hit the Gemfields and Max fights his way to the lease, but the floods might have destroyed his dam. Todd and Brianna face destruction at the claim, and Rowan Richardson must act fast to save the mine.
It's almost the end of the mining season. Water in the dam means that there is one final chance for sapphires for Max and Glenn.Plus, it's terror in the tunnels for Todd and Brianna.
