When the deceased body of teenage traveller Caleb is found underneath the wheels of a tractor, the secrets of the tiny village's residents - Caleb's friends - come out and their lives are thrown into disarray. Those residents, including aspiring jockey Tina and local vet Janine, are joined by Caleb's brother, Eli, in struggling to cope with their grief. The situation gets even more complicated when young, ambitious police officer Ruth is called in to help with the investigation surrounding the death and opens up a world nobody knew about.
