Gran and crew accept a surprise invitation from the Erste Empire to attend a peace negotiation at the Albion Citadel.

Thanks to the Erste Empire's pardon, Gran and the crew are acquitted. Katalina suddenly disappears after the banquet, leaving only a note behind.

Katalina feels indebted to Vira because of a past incident and wants to give her support after the many years of loneliness and stress Vira has endured as Lord Commander.

Vira attacks Gran and the others using the primal beast Luminiera's power. Katalina is wracked with guilt when she sees Vira in berserk mode and makes up her mind to face up to Vira's feelings.

After leaving Albion, the Grandcypher arrives on an island shrouded in a thick mist, notorious for being inescapable.
