London, 1971. In an age of open racism, fervent nationalism and anti-establishment passion, two politically engaged and idealistic young lovers, Marcus Hill and Jas Mitra, fight back against the injustice and deep-rooted prejudice they face on a daily basis. But, unbeknown to them, they are being targeted by Special Branch's 'Black Power Desk'.
Condemned by community activist Kent Fue, Marcus and Jas are forced to lay low in a safe house with American radical Leroy Weems. As the police terrorise the black community, Dhari and Leroy pursue a dangerous and controversial mission.
The gang move to a secret location in the countryside and tension builds within the group as a newcomer forces them to reconsider their plans. In London, the Black Power Desk's failure leads Pence to violently lash out at those closest to him.
The group's solidarity is threatened by infighting and personal issues. Regardless, they embark upon an operation that proves to have dire consequences.
In the wake of a tragic loss, Marcus and Jas' relationship is tested by a duplicitous supposed ally. Meanwhile, Kent's actions have a disastrous effect on the radical community, at a time when the Black Power desk poses a terrifying threat.
Infighting threatens to split the group, throwing their final mission into jeopardy. Marcus and Jas relationship is tense, which Dhari attempts to capitalise on, leaving Leroy frustrated. Meanwhile, all external forces are conspiring against them.
