KIDNAPPING

Rolf Larsen is an investigator at Vestegnens Police, and married to Maria. Just as Rolf is looking forward to a few days alone with his daughter, work demands his attention: a little girl, Minna, has been kidnapped. After a tip from Poland, Rolf decides to go there and speak with a witness. An autumn storm is raging, and since Maria is in London and the nanny is busy, Rolf brings his daughter.

The managing director and heir apparent to a venerable family-owned brewery in dire financial straits is found drowned in a vat of his own ale.

After Rolf and Neel find serious errors in the Danish DNA register, the Minna case is reopened. Rolf and his former boss, Astrid Oxlev, assist the French police with investigator Claire Bobain in the lead.

With clues pointing to Poland, Rolf and Claire leave to find a crucial witness in possession of a video. Claire is concerned that Rolf seems more focused on his daughter's case than with the murder they are currently investigating.

In Paris, two men, Gregouire and Fabien, are brought in for questioning about the killing of Victoria. They confess to having paid her to be the surrogate mother of their baby.

Rolf, Claire and Karol don't get much help from the nuns as they try to find answers in a convent in Poland. Rolf then discovers a connection to the case that points to a fertility clinic in Paris.
