Shashikant Sahay captures limelight for encounter of 3 young lads who had affiliations with the Naxals. The encounter was an open and shut case but not in the eyes of the deceased families. Sashi starts his investigation to get to the depths of the encounter case.

As Shashi interviews the family members of the deceased, the facades drop, and reality strikes. The three accused Aasif, Abhay, and Gagan who were labeled terrorists were, in reality, commoners, students, seekers, and aspirers who had a bright future. Sashi feels guilty for their encounter

In his own guilt, Shashi now wants his department to suspend Mishra and Jha. To put an enquiry on their possible involvement of killing Aasif who could have been saved and caught alive, Khan warns him not to get into this as this could make his entire system stand against him.

Rajeev Parshuram confess the murder of Josh Martin. Next morning Shashi gets to know that Rajeev is found dead in the lock up. Shashi is asked to take leave and rest at home. Being a witness Mamu meets Shashi and reveals the real truth of the Aasif, Gagan and Abhay.

Aasif, Gagan and Abhay get into a bus to execute the loot but they realize their idea to rob innocent people was a mistake and decide to drop their plan. Misunderstanding leads to guilt Shashi decides to continue with his job as he still sees some hope in the system.
