Marvin Marvin, a bumbling alien eagerly and somewhat clumsily attempts to adapt to life as a human teenager.

When Teri's only way to go out with her dream guy is a double date, she reluctantly takes Marvin with her. Meanwhile Bob tries to prepare the family for a possible attack by Klerg agents.

The family dinner night gets cancelled and Marvin eats too much chocolate. This results in Marvin getting an alien toothache, which brings the family together when they need it the most.

As coach of the high school basketball team, Bob wants to lead his players to victory against his nemesis. He realises Marvin's alien abilities make him an astounding basketball player.

After Marvin consoles a racehorse at the track, the horse escapes the racetrack and follows Marvin home hoping to become Marvin's pet.

Teri and Briana plot revenge on a boy who seems to have asked both of them out on a date. Meanwhile, Marvin learns that an `expiration date' doesn't mean what he thinks it does.
