Nights in Tefía

During Franco's dictatorship several deviants ended up in the Agricultural Penitentiary Colony of Tefía,a forced labor camp. Inmate Charli tries to soothe the harsh living conditions by creating a story around a fictive club: the Tindaya, where there is a role for each person in the Colony. In the present one of the inmates, Airam, is contacted by a filmmaker who wants to bring the story to light.

The production of the quarry is reduced and Don Anselmo puts pressure on his subordinates and prisoners. He's disturbed after learning that the General Director of Prisons is visiting the camp. In Tindaya there's a new female singer, Nisa, who causes a sensation, but Franco's censor lurks.Airam, an aged man, married with children, is conflicted with his son and is faced with a big decision.

A new priest arrives in Tefía who does not seem very conciliatory. Something arises between La Vespa and Bambi, the Majareta suffers an acute crisis. In Tindaya, Robles takes revenge for the hypnosis show and the Minister visits the club: the closing is in the air. In the present, Airam has a difficult time with his family after coming out of the closet, while the documentary continues its course.

Goats ruin the dream of the olive grove. His relationship with La Vespa costs Bambi a severe punishment. Don Anselmo, desperate for the visit of the Director of Prisons, agrees to a peculiar proposal from Charli. The Tindaya has to close its doors, Nisa has an idea of what to do in the meantime. In the present the documentary threatens to uncover Airam's secret, and he makes a drastic decision.

Charli carries on with the preparations of his plan to help Don Anselmo with the visit of the General Director. In Tindaya, a new supervisor appears who clashes head-on with Nisa, who in turn devises an amazing ending to the performance in front of Franco. In the present, Airam recovers from his suicide attempt in the midst of a family crisis, and an old friend reappears.

The dreaded visit of the Director-General and the trompe l'oeil of the crops causes an earthquake among the prisoners. In Tindaya, the performance against Franco and Kennedy has a dramatic ending. And in the present, Airam and Sissi attend a very special performance.
