Our Welsh Chapel Dream

Keith Brymer Jones and his partner Marj throw themselves into the restoration of a derelict chapel in Wales. As they explore their new home, it appears that they're not alone, the local pigeons have moved in.

As Keith and Marj await the go-ahead to transform the chapel into a home, pottery studio and events space, they start ripping out the rot and pitch their plan to the local community.

With planning permission granted, Keith and Marj get to work removing the pews, parquet floor and pulpit in the main hall, and make a discovery in the once-pigeon-infested Sunday school ceiling vents.

The chapel will be unliveable for many more months, so Keith and Marj come up with a radical idea to sleep onsite a lot sooner: getting a shipping container in their car park, and transforming it into their first official finished bedroom.
