After a transplant, Florence discovers that her new heart came from a Belgian woman, Ana Daendals, who died after a car accident.

Florence hopes that understanding her donor Ana's life path might help her to support Zoé. Ana's father Simon is convinced that Ana's death was no accident.

Her strong determination to help Simon investigate Ana's death means that Florence unwittingly pushes Zoé into the orbit of the drug dealer, Jan.

Vincent is furious when he uncovers Florence's lies and her collusion with Simon. Uneasy with receiving too much attention from the police, Jan makes plans for a getaway.

Her marriage is shaky and she's unwell, but Florence joins Simon in Antwerp to look for Ana's mother. Zoé, feeling a bond with Ana, decides to hunt for Ana's mother as well.

Now dangerously ill, Florence is rushed back to Biarritz. Simon ends up in the hands of the police.
