The journalist wants to write an article about Julia, a recent arrival at the residence. To do so, she needs information about her island home, which she finds in a book belonging to Julia's mum.

Julia and Sam have to look after Ben. They play hide-and-seek in the Mouse House. But Ben is so well hidden, they can't find him. Where could he be?

Sam hears Julia talking to someone and thinks that she is talking to her best friend. Sam thought he was her best friend, gets worried and tries to find out who Julia's best friend is.

Sam has promised to water Mr. Humeur's plants. Sam goes to his apartment with Julia and they find out why Mr. Humeur is so withdrawn.

Each resident brings a square that best represents them, and that will join the great patchwork of the year. Julia discovers this ritual a little late and tries, with Sam's help, to bring her square on time.

Sam and Julia plan to play in their lair, but Tonio wants to find out where it is! They'll have to be cunning. What if this new game turns out to be even more fun than the one they originally planned?
