Sandi Toksvig and Raksha Dave go on an extraordinary dig in Dorset, where a team from Bournemouth University are unearthing the secrets of a 2000-year-old Iron Age cemetery. Sandi is captivated by the intimate grave goods buried alongside the dead.

Sandi and Raksha explore the site of Cookham Abbey, once ruled by Queen Cynethryth, where they unearth exciting new evidence of early medieval monastic life.

Sandi takes her first ever trip to the breathtaking Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland, together with Raksha, as they visit the incredible Roman site of Magna Fort. Sandi hopes to discover what life would have been like for the soldiers.
