Brussels 1941 - `Lifeline' is a secret organisation dedicated to aiding the escape of Allied airmen shot down over Europe. The organisation is run by a young woman known as `Yvette'. London sends an RAF officer to help co-ordinate their activities, but the Gestapo is also interested.

A Royal Air Force NCO's suspect must be eliminated when his sensitivity endangers the escape route.

Curtis brings money from England for Lifeline and becomes involved with a Jewish family - as well as with Yvette.
