The team investigates a murder disguised as a suicide and gets in a bind as another death occurs.

Joongryeok arrests a suspect, but Yubin insists on releasing the suspect, citing a lack of evidence. Yubin tasks the team with finding a missing witness. The witness provides crucial information, driving the investigation forward.

Joongryeok's former boxing coach, Minsoo, runs a fried chicken shop. The shop burns down, resulting in Minsoo's daughter, Hyoju, getting hospitalised. It is hard to tell whether or not it is a case of arson.
