The Accident

While a group of teenagers break into the building site for a new factory, there's an explosion and the building collapses. The teenagers are trapped in the building, and Polly directs her anger at the development's project leader Harriet, but is shocked to realise it might be her daughter who gets the blame.

In the aftermath of the tragedy, Polly worries that Iwan might be hiding something. Angela gathers the families to fight for justice, while Harriet faces questions at work.

The inquest opens and questions are asked of Iwan, Alan and Harriet. Polly is forced to choose between her husband and justice when she's asked to betray Iwan.

Harriet is in the dock for gross negligence manslaughter, as the families' private prosecution finally arrives in court. And Polly fears for Leona, who wants to give evidence.

Pascal saves Gabriel from the fire, but the latter is nonetheless furious: he has found the forged material among his belongings and forces Pascal to leave the company. Destouches is found dead in his shop.

Gabriel and the police had assumed the man they killed was the head of the trafficking network, but then another corpse turns up. Gabriel finally gets closer to finding out what really happened to Rebecca.
