Ten years after disappearing, a politician's son suddenly returns, sending repercussions rippling through their family and the community.

Hank meets Adam, who is the reason for his incarceration. Not realising Bridey is a reporter, Danny reveals his suspicions about Adam. Nina is haunted by her past, while Willa threatens to expose her father.

FBI Agent Gabe Clements tells Nina how he would like to handle the investigation. Adam goes back to the bunker to see if it awakens any memories. Claire's motives are questioned, while Hank's plan to straighten out his life is disrupted.

A child abductor's methods resemble those of Adam's kidnapper. Willa catches Bridey searching the Warren house. Claire presses Hank for details about Adam's kidnapping.

Hank blames a member of the Warren family after he's badly beaten. Bridey gets the paternity test results she ran on Adam. Adam receives post cards from around the country that have been sent by a disfigured man.

Adam is used as bait to lure a pock-marked man, but things don't go as planned. The police continue pursuing Doug and Adam reveals unexpected news to Claire.
