When Dean's popular TV series comes to an end, he thinks his experience playing the role of a lawyer could come in handy at his family's law firm; Dean butts heads with his brother, an actual lawyer named Stewart.

After the exciting and victorious Krantz case, Sanderson and Yao gets flooded with cases. Dean, in his usual fashion, wants them to pick the next big case.

When Stewart dismisses Dean's claims that Claire is sharing secrets with a rival firm, Dean determines to prove his brother wrong; Debbie and Stewart try to identify who tampered with their DVR.

Stewart and Deb think a new couple, Lyle and Vanessa, like them because Dean is a celebrity; Claire is the only person Dean has met who is not affected by his fame.

Dean runs into a former flame who restores his faith in romance, and Deb thinks Stewart should loosen up and let Lizzie go on a supervised date with Joel Zadak.

After spending several holidays away from the family, Dean is thrilled to be reunited with them for his first real Thanksgiving celebration in a long time.
