When an accident occurs in the lab, Dr Nancy Jaax must find a way to stop the deadly Ebola virus from spreading and turning into an epidemic in the US.

Dr Jaax and her partner Peter Jahrling take matters into their own hands, to uncover the source of the virus before it spreads.

Nancy realises that there are no measures in place to deal with a deadly virus outbreak, when representatives from different agencies fail to handle the situation.

Nancy prepares her team for a dangerous mission, while Jerry struggles to find a way to protect his wife. Then, Dr Wade Carter's determination to expose the dangers of Ebola lead him to make questionable decisions.

Nancy works non-stop to try and figure out why the virus is behaving differently in humans. Then even the strongest members of the team are pushed to their limits, when unexpected dangers arise at the research facility.

While those around her begin to crumble, Nancy soldiers on, but her determination may not be enough to sterilise the threat.
