When visiting the bank as a customer, George Burns finds out that Lucy is instinctive funny and asks her to become a partner in his show. Mr Mooney, who thinks this is an opportunity to get rid of her, accepts being her agent.

Lucy accidentally gets trapped in a submarine with Mr Mooney.

Lucy collects cans of baked beans, in the hope of making some money. She needs extra cash when Mr Mooney rejects her request to co-sign a loan.

Lucy arranges for ventriloquist Paul Winchell to entertain at the annual banker's banquet, but gets in hot water when she leaves his dummies in the taxi cab outside the banquet hall.
