The Savoy

It's the start of the new year, and after their busy festive period, the hotel has high hopes for the year ahead, looking at how they can improve all areas of their service and make 2020 the most successful year in the hotel's history. Head butler Sean is determined to make his newest recruit, 37-year-old ex-actor Michael, the perfect Savoy butler - and he is putting him to the test.

It's Valentine's week at the Savoy, and the hotel is preparing for one of the busiest and most profitable days of the year. Restaurant director Thierry is still reeling from owner Gordon Ramsay's visit to the Grill. He gets to work re-training his front-of-house staff, and looking at how he can improve his already high standards, but first he has to ensure that his customers enjoy the most romantic night of the year at the restaurant.

Renowned for its luxurious VIP service, the five-star Savoy has long been a destination for world leaders, royalty and A-listers, and every February the hotel's guest list swells with film stars from across the globe who head to London for the BAFTA film awards. It is a busy week for the hotel, as they host a series of BAFTA-related events that see a multitude of celebrity VIPs coming in and out.

After their most profitable year and their busiest festive season, the hotel hosts its annual staff gala where the 600-strong staff can celebrate, but there is a crisis looming as news of Covid-19 starts to become a reality at the hotel. Concierge Dean has been nominated for the prestigious `Front of House' star award, and ahead of the party where the winner will be announced, he is practising his dance moves in between dealing with guests.

The festive season is the most profitable time of year for the Savoy hotel. Across the hotel, every department is preparing for the rush, and the hotel is fully booked. Upstairs in the Butler's Pantry, head butler Sean is preparing his newest recruit, Michael, for his first ever Christmas at the hotel. Michael is responsible for preparing the room for the Sprenger family, who spend every Christmas at the hotel.

The hotel is reopened after the pandemic. Sean and Michael look after guests staying in the new 16,000 pounds per night Royal Suite by Gucci. Gordon Ramsay opens a new restaurant.
