Meghan is a popular social media influencer with a famous husband, two kids, and an unplanned baby on the way. However, Meghan's glossy life, as depicted in her website, is far from the truth. Meanwhile, supermarket worker Agatha is trying to create a perfect family herself, and tells her ex-boyfriend Hayden that he is the father of her unborn child.

Agatha thinks about her tragic past while Meghan prepares to give birth. Unbeknownst to Meghan, Agatha follows her to the hospital.

Hayden returns to Sydney, eager to meet his new baby. Meanwhile, the kidnapping drives a wedge between Meghan and her husband, Jack. A police team assembles to find the kidnapper, and a media campaign launches nationwide.

Agatha's compulsive lying starts to catch up with her, as she fends off suspicion from Hayden. Meghan and Jack’s despair deepens when his affair is leaked to the media.
