Mary Sohn

With her infectious laugh and impeccable comic timing, Mary Sohn made an immediate impression with comedy fans. Born in Champaign, Illinois, Sohn was raised by a teacher and a pharmacist, and felt her best and only career path would be of a similar ilk. She enrolled at the University of Illinois at Chicago with a goal of becoming a nutritionist, but she soon discovered that the program was not a great fit for her. She was failing chemistry and nearing an academic crisis when she first became exposed to Chicago's thriving theater and improv scene. Sohn began taking classes at Second City, where she would eventually become a performer for over ten years, first with the National Touring Company and later on the Mainstage. Eventually, Sohn was given the opportunity to perform on camera, making an appearance on the Stephen Merchant series "Hello Ladies" (HBO, 2013) in 2013. After working in a number of short films, Sohn received an even bigger opportunity with a small role in the Melissa McCarthy comedy "The Boss" (2016). After guest appearances on "Bajillion Dollar Propertie$" (SeeSo, 2016-) and on the hit series "Teachers" (TV Land, 2016-), Sohn landed a co-starring role on the series "A.P. Bio" (NBC, 2018-).
