Finneas O'Connell

American musician Finneas Baird O'Connell was born in Los Angeles, California. Known mononymously as Finneas (often stylized FINNEAS), he was the son of actor/musicians and the older brother of Billie Eilish. Their parents homeschooled them to allow them to pursue their own interests and creative outlets. Finneas began writing and producing music for himself and his sister as young as 12 years old. He first gained an audience as an actor in "Modern Family" (ABC, 2009-20) and "Glee" (Fox, 2009-15). Eilish had a breakthrough in 2016 with "Ocean Eyes", a song that Finneas wrote and produced. Finneas produced and helped to write Eilish's debut studio album, "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" (2019), resulting in his first Grammy awards. Building off this success, the siblings collaborated on a song for the James Bond movie of the same name "No Time To Die" (2021), for which they earned another Grammy and an Academy Award for Best Original Song. They became the youngest ever two-time Academy Award winners the very next year with a song they created for the movie "Barbie" (2023) titled "What as I Made For" (2023). Finneas has seen success as a solo artist as well, releasing the popular EP "Blood Harmony" (2019) and his debut solo album "Optimist" (2021).
