Sergeant Ali McCormick and Homicide Detective Bill Overmyer partner up to re-investigate the mysterious and brutal death of Sarah Mills, a 27 year-old street person, found strangled and poisoned in an abandoned industrial building three years ago. Manny videotapes the officers as they survey the crime scene for the newly created Cold Squad website. Bill runs down the details of his first homicide case, a painful reminder of an unsolved tragedy, when they run into an enigmatic street person, the Moonman, who’s cryptic ramblings give the officers hope that the killer of Sarah Mills may be found.
